Fall Field Trips
Students can enjoy a farm tour by hayride and a trip through the corn maze, as well as an energetic romp in our Play Area. On the hayride tour of the farm, see the cotton, wheat, soy beans, corn, peanuts and other crops that Farmer Tommy is growing this year. According to what is seasonally ripe, you may learn how to shell corn or pick peanuts!
We also show a delightful movie to students about our corn maze. It begins with getting the fields ready to plant, sowing the seeds, watching the corn stalks grow and mature -- and then we explain how we make our maze!
Plan to spend 1-1/2 to 2 hours. As time permits, students may have an energetic romp in our Play Area. Bring ground cloths for picnics, if desired.
To take home:
Students get a coloring book and mini-pumpkin
Teachers get a resource bag of farm goodies and teaching aids.
$5.00 per student and/or accompanying parent
One teacher and para-pro per class attends free
